WHAT TO WEAR

Sailing Sunny, Small boats Sailing Windy, Big Boats Canoeing/Kayaking Windsurfing/Raft building River trips
Waterproofs                 (top and Bottom)  or Wetsuit and Swimsuit Wet shoes (these could just be old trainers, Hat and Gloves (if very cold), Warm Clothes under waterproofs Same as for the small boats but wetsuits not suitable Waterproofs                 (top and Bottom)  or Wetsuit and Swimsuit Wet shoes (these could just be old trainers, Hat and Gloves (if very cold), Warm Clothes under waterproofs If warm Shorts and tee-shirt or swimsuit. But come dressed in warm clothes to start with. Wet shoes if you have them (these could just be old trainers)Wetsuits provided for windsurfing. For raft racing dependant on the temperature. Waterproofs                 (top and Bottom)  or Wetsuit and Swimsuit Wet shoes (these could just be old trainers, Hat and Gloves (if very cold), Warm Clothes under waterproofs.

Long Trousers, Long sleeved top, Waterproofs (top and bottom) Hat and Gloves helmets must be worn too. Warm clothes under ski jacket and ski pants (waterproof) Goggles/Glasses Gloves and Hat, Thick socks.

 Packed Lunch

Warm clothes, Waterproofs, long sleeves. Waterproofs (weather dependant) long trousers,  long sleeves. Helmets and hi vis vests must be worn too. Hat and Gloves,  Snack, Drink. Insect Replant. (Waterproofs can be hired from the Boathouse)

(Please ensure spectacles are well secured to a cord before going out onto the water)

Wet trainers are shoes you wear for the watersports activities that you do not mind getting wet and sandy.

ALSO BRING                      

A large towel (for all those on watersports)

Insect repellent

Another pair of trainers (to wear dry in the evenings)

Thermos flask

Stout walking shoes (for those that may be on Sport-a-day and will be hill walking)    

Sun cream

Sunglasses

                                               

NOTE: Wetsuits are provided for windsurfing and Raft Building weather dependant. Wetsuits are not provided for Sailing or Canoeing.

LIFEJACKETS ARE PROVIDED AND ARE TO BE WORN AT ALL TIMES ON THE WATER

 

 

REMEMBER It is not much fun on the water if you are cold - dress warmly and you will learn more.

 

INSURANCE The Company is not liable for personal injury or loss or damage to your property, or that of persons in your party, unless caused by the Company’s negligence or wilful default.

Loch Insh Watersports is prepared to hire to groups and individuals equipment for most of the activities we promote.  It should be noted however that you must give accurate information to us of your own ability and that of people with you.  It becomes your responsibility when hiring to see that you are not exposing yourself or your friends or family to a risk situation.  Please take note of the other notices at the point of hire and the instructions given to you.
