We belive our snowsports offering is the quickest way you can learn and that means you’ll have a load throughout your weekend with us.
Our weekend courses kick off on Friday night when you arrive, with an hour under the floodlights on our awesome proslope dry slope. This gives you a huge advantage when we hit the slopes the following morning, with a little bit of knowledge of sidestepping and stopping from the night before this fast tracks you on the snow and by the end of the morning you’ll be up the tow and already enjoying skiing rather than constantly standing in groups.
Loch Insh offers the flexibility of choosing which resort we work at each day based on the forecast. The Lecht is only an hour away and offers a safe environment for beginner to intermediate skiers. Cairngorm Mountain has great beginner runs when the wind is light. In the event of both resorts being closed due to bad weather, we have the backup of our brand new 60m proslope dry slope onsite at Loch Insh to fall back on. and often it gets covered with snow so is as good as anywhere without the crowds.

Snowboarding is a completely different learning style to skiing. It may sound strange but the natural stance for snowboarding is super relaxed, so if you’re a fan of taking it easy and like to chill out you’ll be a natural.
Snowboarding requires a few lessons to become proficient. Our wee slope is a great place for the first few days then book a couple of days up the mountain to complete your learning and you’ll soon be riding the mountain with style.
To really crack snowboarding it’s best to book onto one of our snowboard courses. Here we aim to get you turning and able to descend the mountain in control and set you up to develop further on your own. Our Sport Scotland Snowboard Instructors will show you around and leave you well practiced in controlling the risk on the slopes, so everyone can enjoy the mountains in safety.
The more days coaching you have the further we can take you, by day 4 you’ll be tackling your first rail, jumps and 180’s!

Our ski hire is open 9am to 5pm (open later by arrangement) so we recommend getting your ski or board hire the night before so you can make an early start next morning.
Cairngorm Mountain can get very busy from early on so hiring from us not only gives you piece of mind, but it also saves you queuing.
