Loch Insh is blessed with a clean wind whistling down the valley which, when complimented by the one-mile length of the Loch Insh, creates the perfect location for windsurfing. This dynamic sport has much to offer as well as being the perfect introduction to the board balance required for surfing, and the wind awareness required for kite surfing. Novices will need to take a lesson to learn the basics of rig handling, to keep them from damaging the equipment, themselves, and others. 

Our Basic Windsurf Hire kit is ideal for when you’re starting to learn, we have WindSUP boards which are softer and more forgiving than a traditional windsurf board for learning and our team will pair you with the perfect sail for the conditions.  When windsurfing you’ll spend some time in the water so we recommend wearing a wetsuit, available to hire from £5, so make sure to bring along swimwear and a towel.
