Hire available anytime

To hire boats, customers will be asked if they can "Rig it, Reef it and Right it?" If you don’t know what this means then you must take lessons first.
Sailing is one of our most popular sports, from relaxed family cruisers, to the challenge of mastering the dinghies and catamarans, there really is something for everyone. There is a lot to learn in a sailing boat so before you can take one out yourself you require a little more instruction than other activities.
Our Challenger trimaran is the boat of choice for the RYA Sailability Scheme. It's best known as being a great boat for sailors with physical disabilities. But the fact is that this is a boat for everyone. Anyone who sails this boat, especially in ideal conditions, describes it as a powerful adrenaline rush. Since 2005, Loch Insh has been recognised a centre which specialises in accessible sailing and access is easy from our specially adapted jetty.

Adults and children are split into groups wherever possible allowing our instructors to pitch the lesson at an appropriate level. Group lessons are great value and a chance to enjoy learning a new skill while making new friends.

The five-day courses are £255 child and £285 adult and would bring you up to RYA Stage 2, which is recognized internationally as the certificate required for hiring boats anywhere in the world.
