Welcome to Loch Insh, the gateway to the Cairngorms National Park.
Loch Insh is the ideal holiday destination or simply a great place for a family day out.

A range of watersports are on offer including: sail sports, paddle sports, raft building, fishing and rowing on the loch.  Off the water we have archery, play parks, and a dry ski slope, great team building apparatus. Not forgetting stunning walks and mountain biking.

The Boathouse Restaurant boasts a most spectacular view, looking south west and enjoys amazing sunsets most evenings.

  • Ski & snowboard hire will be available in the base of the building 9am - 5pm
  • Instruction on the ski slope by prior arrangement
  • The chalets and rooms at Insh Hall are available by booking at the main office by Insh Hall from 9am to 5pm or book on line from our website

Adventure Talk with local legend, Roy Henderson (B.A.S.I) “American Rock”

An informative and entertaining account of Roy’s climbing adventures from Yosemite big walls to Utah’s sandstone towers; guaranteed to provide Loch Insh guests with a memorable evening. £12 per person (includes a homemade pie and fries and a small glass of wine or beer) Friday 27th May ­

Meal served at 7pm, talk starts at 8pm

Yoga Classes (starting 16th May) With qualified local yoga teacher, Julie Patterson. Join Julie every Monday evening for a one hour class in our Ptarmigan Dome with heated floor and stunning views 7­8pm. Contact Julie on 07707174314 for class information or simply drop in. £6 per class
